The Ultimate Place to Deli Dally
Dunrovin Country Store already has an abundance of random products. Why not add a deli into the mix? A little known fact: the roadside attraction actually had a small deli when owner Patrick Milcendeau took over 14 years ago. “It kind of fizzled out,” he said. Now they’re bringing it back, this time with seating and a new name, Dunrovin Deli. It will serve Amish meats and cheeses in a menu full of hot or cold sandwiches, hot dogs, coffee and ice cream.

You may recall the business was listed for sale about a year ago. Patrick had decided it was time to retire, but then realized he wasn’t ready. Dunrovin meant too much to him to let it go to a new owner.
Dunrovin has carried a variety of Amish products for years. “A lot of people get pretty intrigued by it,” says Patrick. “We try to bring in new Amish products whenever possible. From what I understand we’re the only Amish market in Moore County.” Dunrovin sources from four different Amish companies, two from Ohio, one from Pennsylvania and one from North Carolina. You don’t have to order a sandwich. You can also order meats and cheeses by the pound.

The front of Dunrovin has been undergoing renovations since September 2025. Patrick has expanded the food prep area and added a larger ice cream selection and glass bottled milk, which manager Jacob Seebode says has been very popular. The rest of the country store is still as eclectic as ever and perfect for wandering.
The deli officially opens this Friday, Jan. 23 and Jacob says as long as they have power, they’ll be open, regardless of weather. They probably even sell an ice scraper in the shape of Sasquatch or something. Dunrovin’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. And because someone will complain about us not typing out the address, find it at 5456 U.S. 1, Vass.
