Get That Dough
It’s time for The Sway’s annual contest, aka our thinly-veiled ploy to (literally) grow our heart three sizes each season. Here are the rules:
- First and most importantly, don’t poison us. We have enough tummy problems as is.
- Drop off at least five cookies with the recipe, first and last name of the baker and the baker’s contact info to 145 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, now through 5 p.m. on Dec. 17.
- Cookies will be judged on presentation, flavor, texture and originality. The winner will be announced in our issue on Dec. 18.
- Must not be a business. Sorry, but if people already buy your cookies and (probably?) like them, you don’t need our opinion too.
- The top recipe will be published on The Sway’s website after the conclusion of the contest.
The top cookie gets bragging rights, a photoshoot on our fake countertop, and a $100 gift card to The Country Bookshop in downtown Southern Pines.
