Wednesday, Nov. 28 to Saturday. Dec. 1: The 22nd Annual Sandhills Children’s Center Festival of Trees fills the Carolina Hotel with enough cheer to make pre-haunted Scrooge down a spiced eggnog. More than 200 trees, wreaths and gift baskets will be up for bid. If you’re window-shopping, any monetary donation will get you through the door. And if you’re looking for themed fun, here’s the lineup:
:: Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Preview Party — See the magic first on Tuesday night with a $125 ticket, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, auction for bucket-list trip and a live entertainment.
:: Wednesday, 5-8 p.m.: Girls Night Out — The McKenzie Brothers Band provides a soundtrack to a cash bar and a chance to pick an angel from the angel tree.
:: Saturday, 5-8 p.m.: Ultimate Ugly Sweater Party — The ugliest of the ugly wins a $100 Mastercard gift card, but everyone gets to show off the ugliest part of them with some Christmas karaoke.
:: Sunday. 1-4 p.m.: Festival Marketplace — Find a spread of homemade selections that’ll trick your folks into thinking you grew a talent.
