Friday, Oct. 17, 4-6 p.m.: Kids can trick-or-treat in downtown Aberdeen while parents enjoy the social district. Wear your costumes more than once.

Friday, Oct. 17, 7 p.m.: Watch “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” on the big screen during a free movie showing at Aberdeen Lake Park. Be the ghost with the most.

Saturday, Oct. 18, 3-6 p.m.: Join Sandhills gymnastics for a Halloween Bash with trunk or treat, hayrides, gym play and more. Open to the community. How flippin’ awesome.

Sunday, Oct. 19, 3-6 p.m.: Head to Hatchet Brewing Co. for trunk or treat, except with motorcycles. Cox’s Double Eagle Harley-Davidson is partnering on the event with a costume contest, 50/50 raffle, candy and more. Will rev for candy. 

Friday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.: Bring your littles to a tiny tots creepy crawl in the Village of Pinehurst. It kicks off at Given Memorial Library with a craft and storytime, then kids can stop by select businesses for trick-or-treat. RSVP here.

Friday, Oct. 24, 5-7:30 p.m.: Kids can take to the streets of downtown Southern Pines for trick-or-treating at local businesses. Fill your buckets.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Malcolm Blue Farm hosts fall-o-ween which includes carnival games, inflatables, pony rides, a climbing wall and more. Costumes encouraged, cost is $5. Fall into fun.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 2-6 p.m.: Join Made & Found for the Bewitching Bazaar with sales, trick-or-treating, face painting and a 5 p.m. costume contest. Witch, please.

Friday, Oct. 25, 6-9 p.m.: Rec Room is hosting an arcade masquerade with a kid’s scavenger hunt at 6 p.m., followed by a kid and teen dance party until 9 p.m. How many K-pop demon hunters will be spotted?

Sunday, Oct. 26, 2-4 p.m.: Don your costumes for the annual Friends of Weymouth Woods Trick-or-Treat trail and learn about the not-so-spooky critters that live in the woods along the way. Creep it real.

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 6 p.m.: Bring your pups to Howl-o-ween at Southern Pines Growler Co. for a dog costume contest. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Bone to be wild.

Friday, Oct. 31, 11-11:30 a.m. or 3-3:30 p.m.: Show off your costume and best monster mash at the Southern Pines Halloween Dance Party. You’ll have two chances to boogie. No bones about it.

Friday, Oct. 31, 4 p.m. to midnight: Combine wits and tricks at the Halloween Barn Bash at The Fair Barn in Pinehurst. Enjoy STEM+Arts Games, music, food trucks, a haunted barn, costume contests and more. Kids 12 and under get in free with a paying adult. Come for the science, stay for the screams.

Friday, Oct. 31, 5:30-8 p.m.: Stop by Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue in Vass for Fire Truck & Treat. Kids can meet firefighters, grab candy and show off their costumes. Stop, Drop & Ghoul.

Friday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. Have a safe and spooky night of Halloween fun at Maison & MCL. Trick-or-treat with the family, enjoy candy and show off your best costume. Spooky, Silly and Sweet.

Thursday, Oct. 16, 6:30-9 p.m.: Get creative during a halloween paint and sip at Railhouse Brewery. Cost is $37.

Friday, Oct. 17, 6:45 p.m.: Tell ghost stories while paddling under the moonlight during the Paddle Under the Stars Spooktacular at Reservoir park. Bring your own canoe, kayak or paddle board. Registration is required.

Saturday, Oct. 18, 7-11 p.m.: Scream your head off at Sycamore Lodge, where you’ll walk through a spooky trail and multiple themed haunted houses. Cost is $10/ person and proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It’s fright night.

Saturday, Oct. 18., 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: We’re all mad here so dress up for Rec Room’s Malice in Wonderland costume party complete with DJ Swazzey and a costume contest. Don’t be late.

Sunday, Oct. 19, 2-4 p.m.: Learn about herbs, explore the garden and enjoy tea during “A Witch’s Afternoon Tea Break” with Raven’s Wing Healing Center and Acre in Southern Pines. Save your seat, my pretty.

Thursday, Oct. 23, 6 p.m.: Replace the screens with screams during a haunted vintage game night at Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities. Enjoy games, puzzles and self-guided ghost tours. There will also be cocktails available. Check mate, boo.

Friday, Oct. 24, 7 p.m.: Have a date night during Frights & Pints, a free outdoor movie at Aberdeen Lake Park. Enjoy yard games, concessions with beer and more. Showing is a a horror movie called “Smile” and is rated R. Don’t forget to bring a chair.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m.: See “Bewitched: A Halloween Burlesque Revue” at Forte Fitness. Choose from VIP or general admission tickets. Get your freak on.

Tuesday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m.: It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus. See the magic unfold on the big screen when the Sunrise Theater plays Hocus Pocus. I put a spell on you.

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m.: Participate in a Halloween Poker Run with Southern Pines Run Club, Pace Your Self Run Co. and The Bell Tree Tavern. Chip in.

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m.: See “A Nightmare on Elm Street” at the Sunrise Theater. Tix are $10. Dun, dun, dunnnn.

Friday, Oct. 31, 4 p.m.: Pregame your halloween night with a showing of Young Frankenstein at the Sunrise Theater. Who’s the monster.

 Friday, Oct. 31, 6 p.m.: Dress up and dive into the Halloween chaos at Hit Point Hobbies in Aberdeen. Join a costume contest, cast spooky spells in Magic: The Gathering, and battle undead in Warhammer 40K. Roll for thrills.

Friday, Oct. 31, 7 p.m.: Get spooky at Railhouse Brewery with a costume contest and live music from The Grey Abbey Band. Costumes encouraged, tricks allowed, and scares served cold. Boos and Brews.

Friday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m.: Get your groove on at the Halloween Hotel Dance Party. DJ Saxy will spin spooky beats to keep you moving on the haunted dance floor. Don’t ghost us.

Friday, Oct. 31, Celebrate at Bell Tree Tavern’s annual halloween party with live music inside and out. Costume contest winner scores a $200 cash prize. Witch way to the party?

Friday, Oct. 31, 8 p.m.: Cork presents Boos & Booze. Come dressed to distress for a Halloween costume contest with prizes. First place gets a $200 Cork gift certificate. Winner announced around 10 p.m. Here for the boos.

Friday, Oct. 31, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: This is Halloween. Literally, but if you said it in the Nightmare Before Christmas voice, kudos because Rec Room is throwing a Tim Burton universe-themed costume party and contest. There will also be a Dia De Los Muertos candle lighting to honor your departed. DJ Sweetboy is bringing the tunes. Don’t be a halloweenie.

Friday, Oct. 31: Step into the Seven 27 Lounge in costume for a chance to win a $150 gift card. Fancy fangs.
