Jeep Up the Good Work
You may have seen Just Moore Jeeps around town or perhaps in a local parade. Current president Karen Bornhorst took over the group in 2022 when it had just 86 members; today there are over 600. “People who like jeeps usually have a lot in common,” she says.

There is no official membership, just join the Facebook page. Group members meet up the third Thursday of each month locally and also plan some sort of off-roading or beach trip a few times a year. The group has members of all ages, all of whom are happy to help diagnose weird engine noises.
“Ducking” is ducking big in this group, which also has a drive for charity. Every year they raise money and deliver Christmas presents to those in need, via Jeep of course. They also adopted a section of N.C. 22, which they clean up four times a year.
- Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: All are welcome (Jeep or no Jeep) to join Showcase-N-Shine at 299 Magnolia Road, across from Pinehurst Brewing Co. The event includes a kids zone, food trucks, vehicle judging, a blind spotter course, vendors and more. Proceeds go toward the Clara McLean House, which provides housing for FirstHealth Moore Regional patients and families. Vroom Vroom.
