Ryan and Gabby Olufs met in Los Angeles and moved to Moore County with no clue what to do. After purchasing 60 acres of land right outside of Robbins, the Olufs found that raising ostriches was the answer. Yep, raising ostriches.

Together the couple raises ostriches at their ranch, Misty Morning Ranch, selling the beast meat to restaurants and farmers’ markets in the area.

Wanna visit? On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Olufs will be holding a “Misty Morning Mercado” where local vendors will be selling crafts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. And you’ll also be able to feed an ostrich, too. No big deal.
