Sure the kids just went back to school but we know you’re already panicking about how to keep the gremlins busy this summer. That’s why we put together a comprehensive list of Moore County summer camps and programs, broken down into seven categories:

Parks and Recreation

  • Moore County Parks & Recreation Summer Programs Registration is mid-April to early June for co-ed tennis ages 9 and up. Co-Ed archery ages 8-15. Registration is in July. Volleyball Camp for rising 5th to 12th grade girls. Registration is February to early July. Registration begins in April through mid-May for Summer Fun Camps, ages 7-10. Girls & Boys Basketball Camps for rising 3rd – 5th and 6th – 8th grade girls. Registration is in July.
  • Aberdeen Aberdeen Parks and Recreation is offering a variety of programs for children ages 5-13. A Mini-Master 1/2 Day Art Camp, 9 week Summer Day Camp and Tackle Loaner Program for children of all ages to fish.
  • *ALREADY FULL* Pinehurst The Village of Pinehurst Parks and Recreation is offering several programs over the summer including Full and half day camps plus specialty half-day camps. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on February 7th to residents and February 9th to the community. A $25 deposit per week is required to reserve a spot. Information about dates, themes and pricing will be added to the Youth Camps tab on their website.
  • Southern Pines Southern Pines Parks and Recreation summer program for ages 5-13 offers individual and group games, arts & crafts, field trips, special events and more from June 13th to Aug 12. Cost ranges from $95-220 depending on whether the student is a resident and which week they sign up for.

Outdoor and General Day Camps

  • Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills The Sandhills Boys & Girls Club is offering field trips, arts & crafts and other recreational activities throughout the summer from 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. Early bird hours from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. for $5 per child. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided. Registration opens at the end of April.
  • NC Wildlife and Fisheries NC Wildlife offers free Hunter Education courses year round at the Moore County Wildlife Club. You’re required by law to purchase a NC hunting license with a few exemptions. They also offer free Boater Education Courses during the summer, some are held at Weymouth Woods.
  • TimberNook Sandhills Based in a sensory-rich outdoor environment, this camp forages a strong connection to the outdoors through weekly themes.
  • Moore County Cooperative Extension The Extension is offering residential and day camps at Millstone Creek. Members will receive information first; we will post information here when registration opens to non-members.
  • Moore County 4-H 4-H provides opportunities for youth ages 5-18 through initiatives in citizenship, healthy living, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Register your high schooler for the Poultry Summer Science Immersion program. Applications close Feb. 28.

Academic Camps

  • College for Kids Sandhills Community College is offering a variety of camps from poetry to robotics this summer. More information will be released soon.
  • Central Carolina Community College is offering a variety of summer camps from cooking to STEM, podcasting and dental health this year. Ages and cost vary per camp.
  • Sandhills Younglife Wyldlife Summer Camps is for middle school students and leaders from across the county. July 11-15. Details to be announced.
  • O’ Neal Summer Camps The O’Neal School is offering seven weeks of general summer camp programs for potty-trained PK3 to 5th graders in and out of the O’Neal community. The cost is $300/week plus enrichment options and a 10% discount if you register for all seven weeks.
  • Garden Montessori Summer Camps Campers will garden, make art and music, do science projects, and explore their environment. Half-day camps are available for toddlers and preschoolers. Full-day camps are available for ages 3-9.
  • Sandhills Classical Christian School Summer Camps Sandhills Classical Christian School is offering camp through June and July for 3-K children. The cost is $100/wk. Get the last week free when you enroll for all eight weeks.
  • DIRT Outdoor School is an alternative education program in Robbins that offers themed STEAM lessons, focuses on child lead/interest based learning, and encourages comfort and free imaginative play in nature. They’re offering a three themed summer camp for ages 3-8 on June 10-14, June 24-28 and July 22-26. The cost is $200 per child. Register here.
  • Preschool in the Pines is offering five weeks of themed summer camps June 17 to August 5 for 2 to 5 year-olds (who have not started Kindergarten yet). The cost is $150 per child with a $50 deposit at registration. Discounts offered if signing up siblings or multiple weeks.
  • Pinecrest Middle School Speech and Debate is offering a summer camp on July 22nd to July 26th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cost is $200. Payment plans and discounts are available upon request.

Sports Camps

  • Moore Co Parks & Recreation summer sports Several sports are offered throughout the summer for ages 6 to 15.
  • Haarlow’s Hoop Academy Coach Jeff Haarlow’s Hoop Academy is for children ages 7-15 July 2, 9 & 16.
  • Sandhills Flyers Camp Sandhills Community College is offering three volleyball day camps for school aged children in July. They are: Elementary Camp on July 8th, Middle School July 9th, and High School on July 10th. Cost ranges from $45 to $65 depending on age group. Flyer Basketball camps are June 17-20 and June 24-27 for rising 3rd-9th grade boys and girls.
  • U.S. Kids Golf Summer Camp May 29 to August 14.
  • First Tee Sandhills Summer schedule releasing on Monday, February 19. Introduction to junior golf and character-building program for ages 7 to 13.
  • Chippers Golf Camps Golf basics for beginners and intermediates ages 7-12, July 10-14 and July 17-21. $195.00 per child per week for Half Day Camp and $295.00 per child per week for Full Day Camp.
  • Beacon Ridge Junior Golfer Summer Camps Campers ages 6-13 will enjoy 16 hours of fun golf and games all summer long. $175 per child or $300 for two. Dates to be announced.
  • My Gym of the Sandhills Summer Camps is hosting camp for one week in June and one week in July. Registration is open now; it’s $40 per session.
  • Liberty Soccer Academy is offering three summer programs. Six weeks of Day Camp for $150 per week, four weeks of Summer Intensive for $100 per week and four weeks of Goalkeeping Camp for $100 per week. Each program is limited to a certain amount of players per week.
  • Premier UK Soccer is offering a summer camp at Rassie Wicker Park in Pinehurst from July 8 to 12 for 5 to 15 year-olds. The cost is $110 per person. Details here.
  • Shine on Sports Summer Lacrosse Camps Mini Sticks Co-ed camp for ages 5-8 on July 15-18. Risers Summer Camp for girls ages 8-13 on July 22-25.
  • Sandhills Gymnastics The Aberdeen facility will be hosting morning and afternoon camps, with the option to add in a 2-hour “lunch bunch.” Sign up for all three to stay all day. It’s $190/week for each time slot.
  • All American Cheer The local cheerleading organization is part of the National Cheerleaders Association, which offers camps across the country.
  • Little Toughies teaches girls to be strong and independent in a fitness setting and exposes them to various sports. Six summer day camps are currently available from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ages K through 6th grade. More dates will be added. The cost is $30 per athlete. Register here.
  • RiseUp Moore youth tackle football is offering wide receiver and quarterback academies May through July. Camps run eight sessions a month for kids 8 to 18 for $150.

Arts Camps

Childcare

  • Rugg Rats Camps Nine weeks of themed summer camps for ages 2 and up from June 3 to August 5. Cost is $200 per week. $100 nonrefundable deposit required. Get details here.
  • The Little Schoolhouse Five weeks of themed preschool summer camp for ages 2 to 5. $175 per week.
  • My Gym Sandhills Summer day camp for ages 3-10 on June 10-14 and July 8-12 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $40 per day.
  • Pollywogs Play Pad is offering six weeks of themed summer camps for ages 2 to 5. The cost is $185 per camp for 5 days or $145 per camp for three days. 50% due at sign up (non refundable), book 3 camps and get the 4th 15% off.
