Who Run the World? 

Girls. Megan Falk and Eryn Irrera are fundraising to bring a chapter of the international organization “Girls on the Run” to the Sandhills. The org is an activity-based program that works to teach girls in grades 3-8 life lessons and relationship building through exercise. The initial fundraising goal of $5k will supply shirts, journals, and other materials that will make the program free or as low cost as possible for Hoke, Lee and Moore counties.

“There aren’t many opportunities for young girls after school that aren’t competitive sports,” says Megan. “In this case, exercise is just the vehicle of delivery, but it’s really more about life skills — the social and emotional lessons,” says Eryn.
