Moore County Commissioners are meeting tomorrow night to consider building new schools, and some local parents plan to greet them at the courthouse with T-shirts and paper plate signs reading “I am an emergency.” There’s also a petition circulating.
ICYMI: Commissioners and school supporters have been feuding for a while over this issue. The Southern Pines Town Council just approved an 800-student elementary campus to alleviate crowding at Vass-Lakeview and Sandhills Farm Life, but the county still needs to fund it.
