It’s Whiskey Business
Building a distillery is a process that can be a little on the rocks, but Brad and Jessica Halling are well on their way to making Moore County’s first a reality.
The groundbreaking for BHAWK, Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko., took place Nov. 3 at 175 Yadkin Road, Southern Pines. The couple plans to dedicate the distillery to the veterans of the United States and their families.
- “It’s important that we express to you that we’re gonna pull something special off because of you,” Jessica said at the groundbreaking.
- “We didn’t just want our name or story on a bottle. We wanted to be a part of this community,” Brad said.

Brad retired as a sergeant major in Special Forces and Jessica is a former JAG officer who retired as a colonel. Part of the branding includes a feather on every product, which represents the fallen.
