MORE WAYS TO GREEN UP NICE
All weekend:
- Feel truly Irish with corned beef and cabbage, a regular menu item at Dugan’s Pub. Feck it up.
- Get lucky with a shamrock mimosa, Guinness stew or other specials at Drum & Quill, where you’ll find live music Friday through Sunday. Beer me.
- Try a Guiness Float or other smooth specials from The Wine Cellar. Get your vitamin G.
- Sip Halling Whiskey’s Madam Colonel Pistachio Bourbon Cream at BHAWK. Seeing green.
- Take home a roll of ready-to-cook corned beef from Southern Cuts Butcher Shop. Feeling corny?
- Try the neon eyes, a marg with pineapple-infused tequila, cilantro, lime and Cointreau from 195 American Fusion. Dublin up.
- Gulp down drink specials like green Duck Hook beer, Irish stouts, green tea shots and more from Southern Pines Brewing Co. at both locations. Cheers.
- The Workshop Tavern has drink specials galore plus shepherd’s pie, prime rib and more. Shamrock your world.
- Red’s Corner is dublin’ up the celebration because it’s also their third anniversary. There’s a lot happening, including pop ups, drink specials and music. Too much to type, see it here.
Friday:
- Bring your lucky charm because 9th of September is hosting two for the price of one DIY pottery painting. It’s BYOB, so do with that what you will. Call for a rezzie.
- Join Carolina Dance Works for a St. Patrick’s Day dance party 8-9:30 p.m.. Cost is $15 and you’ll learn new moves along the way so all levels are welcome. Don’t forget to wear green.
Saturday:
- Don’t miss this emerald enthused parade at 10 a.m. in the Village of Pinehurst. Wear your green and see the St. Patrick’s celebration take to the streets, spreading Irish cheer. Keep calm and leprechaun.
- Post parade, enjoy an after party at Maxie’s Grill & Taproom from noon to 2 p.m. If you know, you know.
- Party all day with Time Out Sports Grill where green beer is on tap and party favors will be handed out. We all love tacky green beads.
- Celtic maritime band Nor’easter Tippers & Pypes (sea shanties with the boys, anyone?) plays at James Creek Cider House from 2-5 p.m. Toast with tinted cider. How you like them green apples?
- Whiskey River takes the stage from 8-11 p.m. at Railhouse Brewery. You can also get into beer specials and Irish egg rolls. Get jiggy wit it.
Sunday and Monday:
- Celebrate at O’Donnell’s Pub with corned beef and cabbage, giveaways, limited edition merch, live music and more. This is basically their Super Bowl. Get lucked up.
- Monday is the day to party on the Engine Room ’87 bar car with specialty cocktails, a scavenger hunt and spicy pickles. Beer for a good time.
