After weeks spent renovating 210 NW Broad Street, the MOD Shop has moved in — completing its move from a house on the corner of Bennett Street and New Hampshire Avenue just in time for Phase 1 of NC’s re-opening plan.

“The other location was an old house, so we kept it simple,” owner Michelle Jordan says. “This was a blank slate, so we went bold and fun and very loud.”
The MOD Shop’s boutique storefront opens to a salon in the back, where staff will continue to specialize in extensions and color transformations. There’s a makeup counter, too, and full-face applications are available — that is, when the phase is right.

“We had plenty of time [to renovate] because we weren’t working,” Michelle says. “We were quarantined right here on Broad Street.”
The MOD Shop is open from 11-4, Tuesday-Saturday. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
