Making Painting This House a Home

Meet Lynsi Beers, a Moore County native who will paint your favorite places using watercolors. Although she didn’t set out to have a full blown small business, she says, “It’s kind of like meditation for me.” Lynsi’s day job is a dietician but she escapes to her sunroom daily for a painting session – usually as a way to start her day, alongside a coffee. 

“I like painting houses, wedding venues and any sort of structure that isn’t living, except for crabs,” says Lynsi. It’s an unexpected combination, and exactly the kind of wildcard we live for. Why crabs? Lynsi loves the beach and grew up going often. 

One thing she didn’t expect was to get so many orders from TikTok. These unconventional sales have given her the chance to take commissions from around the country. Because of this, she recently set a goal for herself to paint a house or building from all 50 states. 

She describes her style as light and airy and can do commissions in a variety of sizes. You’ll occasionally find Lynsi’s art at markets, but since she mostly does commissions, especially for people moving or wanting to celebrate a new home, the best way to see her work is on social media or on her website.
