We’ve Entered Perkatory

Unless you’ve been spending the last week under a rock, you know that The Roast Office and its lease at the Outpost has turned into the will-they-or-won’t-they drama of the summer. What the helly is going on? You’ve probably read a bunch of comments and know that the answer depends on who you ask.

Official word from the Given Tufts Foundation, which rents the space to The Roast Office, is that the coffee shop “failed to exercise its option to renew” its current lease, and that the parties have “not been able to agree on terms.” The owners of The Roast Office say their attorney has advised them not to comment on specifics, but that they’re “working diligently with the foundation to renew the lease for The Roast Office to remain at the Outpost.” We don’t know exactly what’s brewing, but we’re sure more beans will be spilled soon.
