So, you know, Becca Rae, right? Of course you do. And if you think it can’t get any better than hearing this local star belt it out at The Jefferson, wait until you hear her album of original songs to be released this June titled “Live at The Sunrise”.
Becca Rae taught herself to play guitar and began her career in Nashville at age 18. She’s had years of success singing covers as well as her own music, and played a major role in the Singer/Songwriter series at The Sunrise. She describes her music as a blend of classic country melodies with large powerhouse vocals and carefully crafted lyrics that fill the space.
“I wanna create music that has that classic country sound,” she says. “That’s what really runs through my veins. It has to let me really sing out big, because that’s what I’ve always done, and it has to be paired with emotional, meaningful, real lyrics. I don’t wanna sing about daisy dukes and pickup trucks. I wanna sing about something that makes people feel something.”
