We Can Hear The Bells
Well, don’t ya hear them chime? You should, because this new bridal shop is right in downtown Aberdeen. Bride of the Pines is the brainchild of Kaitlyn Blake, who you may recognize as a local wedding photographer. She loves being part of the wedding industry, and this shop is another way to do it.
You’ll find everything from wedding gowns to mother of the bride gowns, formal dresses, prom dresses, short reception dresses, belts, accessories and more. The store even has its own signature scent created by Rustic Pine Candle Co., and you can buy a candle for your wedding day so it smells the way it did when you said yes to your dress. “It’s the little touches,” says Kaitlyn.
“I wanted to make the vibe as if [the lifestyle brand] Love Shack Fancy and wedding dresses had a baby,” laughs Kaitlyn. “I wanted it to feel very southern, welcoming and warm.”
Kaitlyn has worked directly with some of the designers she features in her shop and has also photographed some gowns at New York Bridal Fashion Week. “I wanted to have unique dresses here for every type of bride,” she says.
For now, you can browse by appointment only. If you’re looking for something extra special you can book the VIB (Very Important Bride) experience, which includes champagne, food and extra time to find everything you’re looking for. And if you’re so in love you make Disney princesses look patient, Kaitlyn even has a few racks of dresses that can leave same-day.
