You Look Like the Fourth of July  

Friday, July 3, 6-9:15 p.m.: Kick off the country’s biggest hot dog-eating weekend with the Village of Pinehurst’s annual Fourth of July celebration. Bring your chairs, blankets and families out to the Pinehurst Harness Track. Kids can enjoy bounce houses while you groove to live music from The Soul Psychedelique Orchestra. Food and treat trucks will be onsite too. Fireworks will begin around 9:15 p.m. Red, white and woo-hoo. 

  • Thursday, July 2, 6 p.m.: Show ’em your colors are red, white and blue while painting a patriotic truck at Wine & Design. It’s BYOB but save your seat in advance. How Americana. 
  • Thursday, July 2, 7-9 p.m.: Robbins hosts Moore County’s first fireworks show of the season at the town’s green space with food trucks, live music, face painting, games and more. Stars and stripes. 
  • Friday, July 3, 5 p.m.: Pinehurst Resort goes country at its annual Freedom Fest, headlined by Dylan Marlowe. Tickets include amusements, live music, food available for purchase and a prime view of fireworks. Upgrade your ticket for a meet-and-greet. 
  • Saturday, July 4, 9:45 a.m.: Let freedom bark during the Village of Pinehurst’s annual pet parade, followed immediately by a traditional Independence Day Parade. Wave a flag.
  • Saturday, July 4, 11 a.m.: Keep the fun going at Maxie’s Grill & Taproom during a post-parade after party with live music plus food and drink specials. Party like its 1776.
  • Saturday, July 4, 11 a.m.: Catch the Carthage Rotary Club Independence Day parade through downtown. See patriotism on display. 
  • Saturday, July 4, 2 p.m.: Join Moore County Community Band for a landmark performance as they celebrate a milestone two-and-a-half centuries in the making. Peep the program. 
  • Friday, July 3, 8 p.m.: Celebrate ‘Merica at the NAV with s’mores kits available for purchase to use at one of their fire pits, along with drinks from their concessions area. Fireworks begin around 9 p.m. Parking is limited, carpooling is recommending. 
  • Saturday, July 4, noon to 3 p.m.: Cox’s Double Eagle Harley-Davidson is celebrating with giveaways, food, photo ops and more. Red, white and bikes. 
  • Saturday, July 4, 5-10 p.m.: Party at Aberdeen Lake Park with access to the rock climbing wall, inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle course and more. Leave your pets, alcoholic beverages and coolers at home. Yes, we had to say it. The night ends with fireworks. Boom. 
  • Sunday, July 5, 6 p.m.: The Sandhills Bogeys celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks after their home game at Sandhills Community College. Home (game) of the brave.
