See? Food.

Danny Hayes has spent 15 years proving he knows his way around a fryer, a grill and just about any fresh catch that swims. After closing House of Fish on Aberdeen’s south side last fall, he’s moved on to a new opportunity – one with four wheels and shiny blue metal walls. Danny decided that operating a food trailer would give him more flexibility while continuing doing what he loves: cooking and gathering community.

“Food brings people together. So I realize I have the opportunity to make or break a person’s day,” Danny says. “If they dine with me, I am in complete control of the outcome of that day. Food is very important. It brings people together. It makes people happy.” 

Danny says food trucks can be harder than running a traditional restaurant. It takes a lot of planning and preparation each day he’s serving up fresh seafood. Plus, it’s weather dependent.
