Couples from across the state travel to Pinehurst each year to say “I do” under the signature twinkle lights at The Fair Barn. But, the venue’s soft and romantic vibe isn’t its only draw.

According to The Fair Barn’s assistant event planner, Deborah Davis, The venue’s versatility is one of its main assets.

Davis says The Fair Barn is perfect for the creative bride.

“It’s a blank canvas. You paint it for your personality,” she says.

The building sits in the middle of one of the most popular equine sports complexes in the state. Its exposed scissor trusses and vaulted ceiling opens up the space for a light, rustic and farm-y vibe. Like, if Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Home collection was a wedding venue, it’d probably be The Fair Barn.

Apparently there’s not much you can’t do when you get married in the space. Davis says she once had an 82nd Airborne officer get married there, and he brought in a parachute. So, if you’re interested in gliding down the aisle on a Slip ‘N Slide, this spot is for you. Just kidding (but are we?).

As for the whole money thing, Davis says that it’s true that the building isn’t for the economical bride, but she says it’s also not over the top.

“The Fair Barn is for everyone, really,” she says.
