We know it’s hard to keep those resolutions going strong. So we made a list with fun runs in NC (roughly within 3 hours away tops) for each month of the year.
Here’s the list of fun runs in N.C. You already know we picked some fun ones.
- Jan. 11: Bundle up for the Bear Creek Winter Endurance Challenge in Robbins
- Feb. 1: Eat a dozen donuts then burn off calories during the Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh.
- March 8: Put on some green and get ready for a best dressed contest during The Running of the Leprechauns 5k in Greensboro.
- April 18: Run then celebrate with a concert and drink afterward at the annual Rock ‘N Run 5k in Southern Pines.
- May 16: Switch it up with a night run at the Catching Fireflies 5k in Raleigh.
- June 21: Head east for a the NC Blueberry Festival and 5k in Burgaw.
- July 4: Be patriotic during the Firecracker 4 miler and 1 mile fun run in Fayetteville.
- Aug. 9: Sign up early and be prepared to get dirty on obstacles during the Ohana Mud Run in Morganton.
- Sept. 21: Sorry guys, this one is for women only. It’s called The Muddy Princess 5k Obstacle Mud Course in Charlotte.
- Oct. 25: You’ve built up endurance by this point. That means you can sign up for the American Tobacco Trail 10 miler in Apex.
- Nov. 20: Gobble, gobble during the annual Turkey Trot in Pinehurst.
- Dec. 20: Get festive for the Lake Norman Half Marathon Elf Classic in Statesville.
