Donuts? In the Parking Lot?
The rumors are true, Granny’s Donuts is introducing a mobile trailer. It’s no secret that people can’t get enough of the locally-owned donut shop but since opening a second location in Rockingham last November, people keep asking for a Granny’s in other towns such as Seven Lakes, Raeford and Laurinburg. “That’s impossible for me right now, but the truck lets us be everywhere and make people happy,” says owner Jesús Miron.
The trailer is still six to eight weeks out from being on the road while it awaits permits. Once it’s ready, the family plans to let people know where they can find the trailer via Facebook. They will take requests if a business wants them to set up in their parking lot and the trailer will be available for private event rentals.

The trailer will serve up classic Granny’s donuts as well as milkshakes and ice cream. Jesús says they’ll have to up their production making donuts morning and night to supply both locations and the trailer. “I hope it’s successful so we can eventually bring another one,” says Jesús.
