Halloween Costume Predictions 2026
Since you obviously love our opinion, we made a list of our top costume predictions this year. Feel free to use this list if you need some costume inspiration, or if you’re ready to take bets.

The bigger the hair, the bigger the….tribute to the legendary Country star. This is easily the most recognizable costume for the year and we’re not mad at it. Want to really be authentic? Stuff a bra with balloons. Unless, of course, you’re already blessed.

If trash pandas are your spirit animal, you’ll go feral for this costume. Jimothy, the viral raccoon, took the internet by storm this year with his unique look that brought out the bad posture in all of us. You can make it as cute or as unsettling as you wish. Bonus points if you commit to the bit and walk with a hunchback.

Whether you can’t shut the puck up about Off Campus or you’re with a hockey fan who is just happy to call a jersey a costume – options are practically unlimited with this idea. Perfect for a couples costume, or group costume. It even gets pretty meta depending on which scene you recreate (looking at you “JLo”).

This year’s Roman Empire, well, more like the Greek Empire, The Odyssey. Go as Odysseius, Penelope, or channel your inner goddess (cough, cough, Zendaya). Plus you can recycle the costume in case toga parties ever make a comeback.

The 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana was this year and it may as well have been a jump scare because when did we get old? Although this newsletter didn’t grow up to live a double life as a secret pop star, we still feel like we got the best of both worlds. If you see us in a blonde wig on Halloween, no you didn’t.

Are your spidey-senses tingling like ours are? Spiderman made a big impact in the summer box office, almost guaranteeing a mob of webbed crusaders in spidey-suits. With a multiverse of options, you can adapt the superhero in whatever way speaks to you. We’re hoping for a spider-pig sighting, personally.
