Guess Who’s Back, Back Again
This proposal for a development on the corner of West New York Avenue and South Bennett Street in downtown Southern Pines with condos, offices, retail space and underground parking.

The last rejection was due in part to the development’s tall height, validating short kings everywhere. The new plan includes one shorter building, instead of two, for a total of 46,000 square feet with up to 41 residential condos and about 9,000 square feet of mixed office and retail space.

Do you have strong feelings about parking or the growth of Southern Pines — or just want to see how this saga continues? A public hearing is planned for the town council’s next meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13 at the E.S. Douglass Center, 1185 W. Pennsylvania Ave. See more here.
