With a menu that celebrates both OG Indian cuisine and remixed dishes, the new Indo-fusion restaurant in Southern Pines is aiming to go where no-Bodhi has gone before. BODHIS Indian Fusion Grill has unlocked its doors for a soft opening, serving up what chef/owner Mugunthan “Mugu” Ramar calls “classic Indian flavors with a twist.”
You can find traditional favorites like chicken tikka masala and garlic naan on the soft opening menu, along with a fusion of Indian flavors like chili garlic wings, pesto chicken tikka kabab or chicken tikka pasta. Chef Mugu says they plan to expand the menu with more options when the restaurant officially opens sometime in the next month.
“We want the community to come in, try the food and give us feedback,” Chef Mugu says. “Come talk to the chef, and we’ll give you options on what to try. We are looking out for our community and taking care of our people.”
Located between Kataphora Boutique and Felipe’s Wey in the shopping center on Old Morganton Road, Bodhis will be open Wednesday through Monday from 4-8:30 p.m., but those hours are subject to change. Peep the menu, and order online.
