Have the desire to get a custom portrait of your furry friend? Alanna Wynn, the artist behind Southern Pines Creative specializes in pet portraits made with wool. She has created portraits of cats, dogs and horses. The result is realistic fur sure.
The process is called needle felting on canvas, “it’s kind of like painting with wool,” says Alanna. She can even include a tuft of your pet’s fur, to make pieces more sentimental. Alanna likes textile art because it’s something different that can be displayed on a wall.
