The newly-launched Pinehurst Picnic Co. is taking the concept of dining al fresco to the next level. Founded by Karla Ceraso, Pinehurst Picnic Co. specializes in planning IG-worthy picnics that pair classic foods and beverages with dreamy decor that’ll pass any vibe check.
A long time lover of hosting social gatherings, Karla started Pinehurst Picnic Co. as a way to bring people together — and to share affinity for a well-designed table scape.
From romantic proposals to bridal showers, Karla can plan a picnic that fits any mood. Each picnic has a basic setup: food, beverages, ice, a cooler, a Polaroid camera and a bluetooth speaker. The rest of the details are all up to the client.
“Each one is different,” Karla says. “I’ll talk with the client and see what they like. If they’re going for a more boho theme, we can do that. If someone likes vintage things, we can do that, too.”
Karla and her team will set up the picnic in the location of the client’s choosing ahead of time. After two hours, they’ll return to clean up. Picnic goers just have to show up and enjoy.
Pinehurst Picnic Co. currently offers three food packages: small bites, picnic in the park and a brunch basket. The small bites basket includes a charcuterie grazing board, drinks and desserts. The “picnic in the park” basket includes sandwiches and beverages. Her brunch-time basket includes assorted pastries and fruits, along with beverages or tea of your choice.
Karla aims to source the majority of the items in her picnic baskets from local businesses. She’s unsure of what business and restaurants she’ll source the food from, but she says her goal is to keep it all local.
Pinehurst Picnic Co. made its social media debut earlier this week on Facebook and Instagram. They posted a grand opening picnic for two at Weymouth Center giveaway on Instagram that’s already gained heavy traction.
“Seeing the amount of support we’ve received from other small businesses so far is amazing. I’m taken back by our small business community, and I’m so grateful for the camaraderie.”
Pinehurst Picnic Co.’s website is still in the works, but you can book your picnic by emailing pinehurstpicnicco@gmail.com.
