These Boots Were Made For Broad
Girlies who love all things Western should prepare to get rowdy because The Rowdy Rooster Boutique, formerly inside Sunny Side Up Tanning, is now front and center on Broad Street next to the Sunrise Theater. The new location means more foot traffic, more space and more inventory to browse. “I’m just so excited to meet new people,” says owner Kaleigh Peterson.

Kaleigh says the shop is mainly geared toward country concert wear but there are everyday looks as well. Inside you’ll find shirts, dresses, bandanas, shorts, jeans, boots, jewelry and accessories — including cheeky trucker hats, Kaleigh’s bestseller. She wanted the store to be unique to downtown and loved how other boutiques had focal points like grass and flower walls, so she put her own spin on the concept with a feather wall.
The store opens this Saturday during SpringFest. Regular hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A grand opening will be set later in May with giveaways, drinks from Billie’s Boujee Lemonade and more. If you stop by, tell her we said howdy.
