Sniff Out a Fresh Deck

N2Flow has a new deck designed by local artist Hannah Roser. The deck depicts the real life cats, raccoon and bluejay that live behind the skate shop. Skate shop manager Patrick Blue takes care of the cats — and yes, they all have names. Hannah previously designed posters for the Skaters for Moore skate jam fundraisers, which were so popular that N2Flow owner William Dean approached her about designing a skateboard deck in-house.

They decided to focus on the area behind the skate shop, where ramps and other equipment for skate jams were stored before the Elaine T. Baillie Skatepark was built. Employees often found the critters lounging on the ramps when they weren’t in use.

Hannah specializes in digital art, bringing her sketches to life using the app Procreate. “When I saw the board in person — wow, it’s one of the best reproductions of my art that I’ve ever seen. The colors are totally on point,” says Hannah. “When I do digital art, it doesn’t always leave the iPad. It’s really cool to see a product I make realized in real life.” Hannah says it’s added fun because each board can be customized with wheels and other hardware. “Each piece is a little piece of art too,” she says. Roll in.
