How’d you get started in music?
I got my first guitar when I was 21 and learned really fast. I’ve been playing professionally since 2008.
How would you describe your music?
All over the place: rock, alternative, pop. Stuff anyone can listen to.
What’s your favorite place to play?
Dugan’s Pub in Pinehurst. It’s a tourist place, so every time there’s a different crowd.
Do you have a goal each time you get on stage and play?
The goal is to connect with someone every time! Oh yea, and play a mistake free show.
What’s something you take for granted about your role as a musician that others might envy?
The fact that we get paid to do what we love. And we are locally famous!
Who are your musical influences?
My influences are across the board and all over the place! Beatles, Nirvana, Kings of Leon, the Killers, Biggie Smalls, Smashing Pumkins, Avett Brothers
How do those influences transfer into your music?
They influence how you write and how you perform.
What is it that you enjoy most about playing for an audience?
I love seeing if you can make the audience get up and move! Or if you can leave them wanting more!
What are your goals for the future of your music?
To write and sell my songs.
What’s the most surprising thing that has happened during your musical career?
Playing my original music on a radio station live! Then people messaging you wanting to know how to purchase your songs.
