Ready to run for a cause? The Jeremiah Project Sandhills is hosting a 5K run/walk at Aberdeen Lake. The run benefits the Jeremiah House of Hope Project, created for pregnant women and single mothers.

Partnering with the Sandhills Running Club, their ultimate goal is to raise money for Jeremiah 2911 House. At the faith-based house, women receive care, mentorships, interview training, budgeting advice and coping skills. The goal for this year is $15,000 but volunteer Cathy Grimsrud shared, “It’s truly more about the community awareness, the non-profit and helping single moms.” Cathy hopes they leave, “physically, spiritually and emotionally fed.”

The run begins at 8 a.m. on May 30. Registration is $40 and ends the morning of. Don’t procrastinate, register by May 15 to get race T-shirt too. Lace up.
