Cookies Aren’t Just for Santa
They should also be for the one who delivers tidings of informative joy to your inbox all year round. So we’re bringing back The Sway’s Christmas Cookie Contest, our thinly-veiled ploy to grow our heart and our hips three sizes each season. Here’s the rules:
- Drop off at least five cookies with the recipe, name of the baker and the baker’s contact info to 145 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, through Dec. 16.
- Cookies will be judged on presentation, flavor, texture and originality. The winner will be announced on Dec. 19.
- The top five recipes will be published on The Sway’s website after the conclusion of the contest.
The winner earns bragging rights, and a $100 gift card to spend on locally-made goods at Against the Grain Shoppe in downtown Southern Pines. Now, get to it — and please, don’t poison us.
