Trim Time Grows Second Location
From dents and grease to petunias and peat, the old Morgan’s Auto Body shop in Aberdeen has new tenants. Trim Time Lawn & Garden recently opened a satellite location there, at 109 S Sandhills Blvd (U.S. 1). Chris McNeill and Jonathan Ashburn had been exploring the idea of another location for Trim Time, and the owners of the building approached them with the idea.

The goal of the second location is to bring exposure to the main location off of N.C. 5, which can’t be seen from the road. “Maybe it’ll encourage more people to shop local, too,” says Jonathan.
The new location, right on the edge of downtown Aberdeen, is meant to be a quick stop-and-go, geared toward gardening with seasonal items. It has plants, soils, fertilizers, garden tools and more. Oh, and despite how it may look from the road, there is plenty of parking on the backside of the building.

The family owned business has been operating since 2017, but the current owners took over in 2023. “If we don’t have what they’re looking for there, they can come to the main location,” says Jonathan. The main location at 175 Shepherd Trail in Aberdeen serves a dual purpose, as it is also home to McNeill Landscaping, the family’s landscaping company that has been operating over 30 years. Shop Trim Time’s satellite location 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
