Another Place to Get Sauced

Whispering Pines has an upgraded watering hole, thanks to Whispering Pies. Owner Sharon Gardner has expanded the business into the space next door and added a full bar. “I’m excited to offer something for the community here without them having to drive to Southern Pines or Pinehurst,” she says. 

Multiple TVs will play sports and Sharon says she’s curated a good selection of bourbon, as well as South African wines to support smaller wineries where she’s from. She’s also added a bar menu which is available a little later in the night and includes things like stuffed peppers, doughnut burgers and a dessert menu. Of course, the regular NY style pizza menu won’t be changing. 

Whispering Pies opens at 11 a.m. daily and closes at 8 p.m Sunday, and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The business will stay open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, but Sharon says if there’s a crowd for Monday Night Football, they’re staying open. You can expect to see some drink specials in October.
