Working on a Work Space

If you work hybrid or remote, you know it can be difficult to focus in your own space. Ameeta Swaby and Sanna Nassar hope to help you be as productive as you want to be with Meet on May, a membership based co-working space in downtown Southern Pines with 24/7 access.

“There’s some great spots downtown but many are coffee shops and they get so busy, there might be kids, it’s hard to concentrate. There’s no quiet time,” says Sanna. “There are so many people in the area working hybrid or remote whether it’s small business owners, D.O.D contractors or whoever else and they need something like this,” adds Ameeta.

When renovations are complete at 220 Springwood Way, the space will have various desk, bar and bench-style seating. There will also be a conference room and individual private cubicles. It can hold roughly 40 people at one time but will have a reservation system, somewhat like a college library, where you’ll use an app to reserve a seat.

Memberships will come in different packages like 20, 40, 60 or unlimited hours. Members will have a key fob to access the space, which will include a self-serve coffee bar. There are also plans to have occasional networking socials for contractors, small business nights, realtors and more.

The physical renovations and app are still in the works, but the space could be open in mid-to-late November. For updates, follow Meet on May on Instagram.
