Because Harper Jewel Boutique is coming to Carthage in the same shopping center as Roast, Wild & Co. and Kumon Learning Center. It’s the second location for owner Brittainy Byrd, who debuted the store in Asheboro in 2021. “I’ve always had Southern Pines in the back of my head,” she says.
Brittainy began the boutique, named for her daughter, as a creative outlet while she was a nurse. She now plans to split her time between the Asheboro and Southern Pines locations.
The store carries lots of layering pieces, like vests and shackets. You’ll also find jewelry, some of which is handmade, and jeans, tops and sweaters. “The vibe is modern bohemian, free spirited,” says Brittainy. “In my mind, Harper Jewel is the ‘it girl’ — she’s fun, carefree and trendy.”
- The grand opening is Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and anytime online.
