Jack Hadden kept spirits blooming during the power outages of Moore County, nipping negativity in the bud.
Owner Leslie Habits worked in the dark with limited staff to cut flowers and water plants. She has not let the outage slow her down. “We want to be ready to go as soon as the power comes back on,” says Leslie. “Some events have been canceled, which is a big hit but as far as we know we still need to be ready for some that are upcoming.”
Leslie and her crew still took out all the scheduled deliveries they had over the last few days. She also made sure to be available if anyone needed anything while they were out, like checking on a loved one.
“This is one of the busiest times of the year, especially for retail and flower shops. December is ‘insurance’ for small businesses. I hope when the power is back on, people come back, rally, support local and support small.”
