Hold Our Beer

Because we have major news. Railhouse Brewery is officially expanding with a taproom in Southern Pines at the corner of Bennett St. and Pennsylvania Avenue, in the former home of Southern Pines Brewing on Pennsylvania. The satellite location will be named Railhouse Brewery: Penn Station, tying everything together. “It was a perfect fit,” says owner Chris Weber. Chris took over as the majority owner of Railhouse in early 2025, continuing its veteran-owned legacy.

The taproom will feature Railhouse beer as well as wine, James Creek Cider, soda and eventually some liquor options for a full bar. No food will be served at this location but Chris invites people to order takeout from local restaurants and bring it in. He says the process has been a little nerve-wracking, but “people are excited about the expansion and I’m excited to be able to provide it.”

Everything is on track to open on Memorial Day: Monday, May 25 at noon. Regular hours will be Sunday through Thursday noon to 8 p.m. and Friday through Saturday noon to midnight. Tune in next week for more.
