Taglios is now open at 600 SW Broad St., Southern Pines with a salad bar, baked potato bar (with giant potatoes), rotisserie chicken, pastries, soups and more. Fresh smoothies and juices will soon be added to the menu, and there is also a grab-n-go refrigerated section. The egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, dressings and croutons are all made from scratch in-house. There are also family meal options with whole chickens, sides and gallons of tea or lemonade.
Owners Stephen Fore and Kristy Hansen say the concept is all about fast, healthy options for working families. A website for online ordering is in the works. You’ll be able to place an order ahead of time then pick it up from its drive thru window, but customers cannot order at the window. Taglios has indoor and outdoor seating as well. The name, Taglios, is Italian for “cut or chopped,” a name that seemed fitting to Kristy and Stephen because they wanted the food to be customizable.
The space is also equipped with generators to avoid any interruptions of service. “After the blackout in 2022, it was something that just made sense to go ahead and have,” says Stephen.
