Squaring Up for Another Round

A new referee has been tapped for the latest match between the NCDOT and the Pinehurst Village Council: Gov. Josh Stein. Yes, multiple officials have again entered the ring, literally, over the Pinehurst Traffic Circle. After at least three decades of traffic studies, countless proposals and revisions, NCDOT has named its latest design FINAL.jpg. But the council contends that they have come up with another, safer plan, that would better preserve the circle’s historic status.
