“Designing your home needs to be fun,” says Jessica Yockey, owner of The Whitehall Exchange. The shop opened on U.S. 1 behind not just Linens this March. Inside holds a maze of unique home decor and furniture that is vintage, antique, refurbished and everything in between.

Jessica has been in the vintage industry for 15 years and previously had a booth in Design Market. When she found this space, she knew it was meant to be. “The area needs more of this,” she says. Eventually, she also wants to host design-based workshops.
In addition to Jessica’s collection, there are 10 handpicked vendors. Each, she says, are vastly different. “But it does make for a cohesive space,” she adds.
Jessica’s personal style leans bold. “I love color, I love velvet. I’m from West Palm Beach so I have one food in North Carolina and one in Florida,” she says. In fact, for her section of the store, she mainly shops historical homes in Florida to bring a taste of something different to the area.
Her advice to others designing their homes? “Don’t play it safe. Have fun. And, if you have one really good piece, you can build a room around it.” The Whitehall Exchange is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
