The weather is getting warmer … which has all ready to shove the kids out the door. Here’s how to do just that, and maybe also start them on the path to funding your retirement.

The Healthy Kids Running Series is a perfect way to inspire a weekend nap. It starts on April 7 at the Southern Pines Elks Lodge.

Pinecones Field Hockey Club’s spring academy is open to girls in grades first through eighth, and all skill levels are welcome. This session is the perfect time to try out the sport, as they’ll be focusing on learning the basics through fun drills and small games.

Elite Performance Lacrosse offers boys lacrosse programs and a spring recreational league that is guided by experienced lacrosse athletes.

Girls Lacrosse is offered through AC Sandhills, and they even have a Kinderlax program for littles!  

Your kid can take a swing at baseball and T-ball through Aberdeen Parks and Rec and Southern Pines Parks and Rec.

Aberdeen Parks and Rec has a kickball league that lets littles as young as 4 years old participate. If you have FOMO, adults can join a league too.

If CrossFit seems too intimidating but your kids are down for anything, sign them up for kids programs at CrossFit 611 and Southern Pines CrossFit

The National Athletic Village offers plenty of space for your kids to run around in, and a new roster of activities was just added.

Camps are already filling up at 365 Soccer Academy.

And if you want to prep them for Country Club life, Tennis Clinics are being offered through Pinehurst Parks and Rec.
