Don’t Putt Up With Boring Clothes
Marie Birdie is a woman-owned golf wear and lifestyle brand designed for tweens, teens and women. Based out of West Palm Beach, the colorful brand launched in 2024. After doing pop-ups in the area multiple times, Marie Birdiefounder Rebekah Alfond decided the Village of Pinehurst was the perfect spot to open a second retail store. But shoppers can also find the brand in pro shops internationally or online.

Marie Birdie was born from Rebekah’s frustration with the lack of stylish, high-performance golf apparel for girls. As the mother of two young golfers, Elena and Vivi, she saw firsthand how few options existed — and set out to change that. But Rebekah didn’t start Marie Birdie just to sell polo shirts. She started it to sell confidence. Her mission is to help girls and women feel like they belong in the game and know there’s a place for them in sports.
That purpose is reflected in every detail of the brand. Marie Birdie is intentional about both design and fit, even collaborating with a Teen Design Council for input on prints and new ideas. Each season’s collection is also developed using the same Pantone color palette, making it easy to build a wardrobe of pieces that mix and match seamlessly over time. And because they just get it, every skirt, dress and pair of shorts are designed with pockets.

Find it open at 105 Market Square, Pinehurst 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day through August 2. Then, store hours will change to Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Follow along on Instagram to see what’s new with the brand and who’s wearing it.
